I hope everyone had a Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year.  Now that the Holidays are behind us, it is time to do “what you can, when you can” with the Knights
 
·         Free Throw Championship for children 9-14 is this Saturday .  I need volunteers.  Volunteers especially those with current Safe Environment training are needed as some confirmation students will be earning service hours helping.  Sign up at http://doodle.com/ryb28ysgf5fnb2ir

·         Monday, January 13 is our Business Meeting.  Rosary at 7:00.  Meeting at 7:30.  This will be at the regular meeting location:  St. Michael the Archangel, Trinity Center, multipurpose room.  We will be holding information session and admission committee at 6:30 for prospective members.  Please invite our fellow Catholic men to be part of our brotherhood.

·         Saturday January 18 is the March for Life at Nash Square in Raleigh.   Mass at St. Joseph’s Church is at 8:00, Prayer Breakfast 9:30, Youth Rally starts at 10:30, Rally and March begin at 1:00pm.  Members who would carry the council banner are asked to contact me.

·         Monday January 20, there is a First and Second Degree at Fr. Price Council #2546.  We have several prospects ready to join us.  Observers welcome.

·         Saturday January 25 is the Catholic Men’s Conference at St. Michael the Archangel, 8:00am – 1:00pm.  This is a diocesan event co-sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.  Preregistration is required, cost is $10 (there is a discount for K of C members, normally $15).  See www.cltcmc.org for registration.  We will also need some assistance during the event.

·         Monday January 27 is LAMB Grant Presentation.  Members, Families and guests are invited as we distribute proceeds from Operation LAMB to programs that assist our community.  This is in our regular meeting space.  Reception will follow.  Contact Howard Zahn or Andrew Reynolds via Lamb@kofc6650.org

 
Also 2014 dues billings have gone out.  If your travel card is expired and have not received the bill, please contact interim Financial Secretary our District Deputy Tom Eifler  FS@kofc6650.org.  If you are unable to pay dues because of hardship please contact Grand Knight George Grant, discussions will remain confidential.
