Family Picnic

posted Sep 20, 2018, 10:55 AM by Keith Biegert   [ updated Sep 20, 2018, 10:55 AM ]

Brothers,

Just a friendly reminder that the 2018 Knights Fall Family Picnic is fast approaching on Sunday, October 7, 2018, from Noon - 5 pm at Bond Park (Buehler Shelter) in Cary, right across from Saint Michael's Church.  There will be delicious food, great fellowship and the Picnic Committee has worked hard in planning fun activities for parents and kids!

If you haven't done so, please sign up via SignUpGenius or simply email me with the number of guests and what you're bringing (side dish, soda/water or dessert).

Finally, Deacon Brian asked that I notify our Council of a "national Rosary prayer movement" and Saint Michael's parishioners are invited to attend at 4:00pm the day of the picnic at Saint Michael the Archangel Church.  The intentions echo those of the USCCB Call to Prayer for Life, Marriage and Religious Liberty, with the clarion call that now is the time to call upon God, through the powerful intercession of Our Lady of the Rosary, to heal our country and return it to holiness.  See below flyers for more information.

We hope to see you there.

Baby Bottle Campaign

posted Jul 1, 2018, 7:37 PM by Keith Biegert   [ updated Jul 1, 2018, 7:41 PM ]

Brothers,

The Baby Bottle Campaign to benefit Birthchoice will the weekends of July 14-15 and July 21-22 at St. Andrew’s Parish.  Council 6650 is teaming up with volunteers from the Respect Life Ministry to make this fundraiser a success.  2 volunteers are needed at each Mass on each of the 2 weekends.

·        On July 14-15 you can go to the foyer of the church after their Communion.  You will distribute baby bottles as people leave Mass and for about 10 minutes after the end of Mass.  It will require about 20 minutes.

·        On the following weekend, July 21-22, be in the foyer about 20 minutes before Mass begins to collect the baby bottles.

This small gift of your time will enable Birthchoice to help pregnant women keep their babies rather than have an abortion.  Can you give 20 minutes?

A Sign-up Genius has been set up for this project.   Click on the link below and check the box for the date and time of the Mass you want.  Then click on the box at the bottom "submit and sign up".  If you aren’t able to use Sign up Genius please feel free to e-mail me and I will reserve your time.
