Council  6650 Prayer List

  • For all men & women in military service to our country
  • Nicholas, the Grand Knight's son Ryan's friend received a hat honoring him as a submariner in a ceremony at the Grand Knight's house, initiated by Brother Chuck Evans, see www.caringbridge.org/visit/nickmatt for picture and update on his condition. Nicholas completed the first stage of treatment and had some success, the tumor shrunk by 50%, continues with treatment of big drugs less frequently, back at school. Prayers appreciated.
  • Mrs. Scherer, Rick's Mom continues her treatment for cancer and is currently at home recovering from her recent surgery and treatment. The Scherer family is rallying around Mom, like good Knights should. Prayers are also appreciated.
  • John Mitchell's Mom passed away last week after a prolonged fight with Leukemia.  Prior to the funeral trajedy struck again, John's Dad fell, struck his head and lapsed into a coma.  He passed away yesterday.  Please keep John, his siblings and his parents souls in your prayers.
  • Richard McGuinness continues to amaze us all, but is currently getting periodic dialysis treatment and in general poor health, but excellent spirits, those that know Richie fondly think of his chipper attitude. Prayers for him and his wife are appreciated.

Lord and Father, almighty and eternal God, by your blessing you give us strength and support in our frailty: Turn with kindness toward these your servants listed herein, Free them from all illness and restore them to health, so that in the sure knowledge of your goodness they will gratefully bless your holy name. We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.

The prayer list will be added and updated after each meeting so that we may turn to the power of prayer and ask God to address our needs

We have removed many from the prayer list because prayers were answered:
Chuck Evans cancer is in remission and his hair is back.
Peter Kersten, is at home with his permanent family and getting spoiled by his older brothers. He is getting tested for hearing aids, cochlear implants and we hope to get therapies. We appreciate your prayers as he does not communicate well and can frustrate Dad. (Dad needs prayers for patience).

Buying life insurance is something that’s easy to put off until tomorrow.  And if your life is as busy as mine, tomorrow can easily become next week, next month, or even next year.  I’d like to make a personal plea that you not make that mistake.  Before spring is over, make an appointment to visit with me, your professional Knights of Columbus agent.  I’ll work with you to put a plan in place that will help your family when that help is most needed..

We all know someone whose health, instantly and seemingly out-of-the-blue, changes.  You may think this can’t happen to you.  Think again.  And keep in mind that no one will ring a bell warning you that your health is about to change.  Medical technology has turned many diseases previously termed “death sentences” into very treatable conditions. What medical advances haven’t changed, however, is that being diagnosed with one of these diseases will dramatically affect your ability to purchase life insurance coverage.  Don’t wait until it’s too late.  Call me today.

Your Knights of Columbus insurance program is second to none.  Knights of Columbus life insurance represents a safety net for Catholic families that’s unsurpassed, and we’re proud of that.  We’re also concerned.  Why?  Because there are more than 1 million Knights of Columbus members who have no life insurance with us.  I suspect that, for many of those 1 million members, tomorrow has become next week, next month or next year.  Don’t be one of them.  Don’t wait for the bell to ring.  It isn’t going to.  I would also like to remind you that there are over 1.6 million policy’s enforce on Members and their families. In the First three months Almost 1.5 billion dollars of new insurance has been issued . That protection is in place for KofC family’s young and old. I am  available for a free insurance review. I also can up date you on the free member benefits and free fraternal benefits. You may not be aware of them.  Please contact Michael Martin, 303-2930 hoosier_71us@yahoo.com
