Nearly five million Americans receive blood transfusions each year. Blood is used to save the lives of patients who need surgery or other medical treatment, for trauma victims of accidents and burns and for patients with cancer, hemophilia, and other serious diseases.  Anyone 17 years of age or older, weighing over 110 pounds and in general good health is eligible to donate blood.

Please note that the new location for the Blood Drives is in front of the Pastoral Care Center and times are from 2:00 - 6:00pm

Monday December 5, 2005  is the last collection of the Year at St. Michaels.  2006 Blood Collections at St. Michael's are Monday February 2, Monday April 24, Monday June 12, Monday September 18 and Monday  December 4.
